“For years, this was the best app of its kind. After they created the new paywall with audio readings, everything went downhill. I don't mind paying but I don't think the quality is where it used to be. I also don't always feel like…”
About this app
Created to help you feel seen and understood. A homegrown labor of love, The Pattern was born out of our founder’s personal journey of self-discovery. While trying to make sense of a challenging time, she recognized what an incredibly empowering tool our birth charts can be and sought to develop an application that could offer this information in a way that was easily digestible for all. Offering a psychological blueprint of one’s self and insight into the unique things they may be experiencing during a period of time, The Pattern acts as a mirror, helping you to better understand yourself and others, enabling connections to be made on a much deeper level. As featured in Vanity Fair, Time, TechCrunch, Vogue, Bustle, Mashable, Harper’s Bazaar, among others. For answers to commonly asked questions, please visit:

What we measured
Each line is a measurement published as a measurement, never a verdict.
Each line is a measurement, published as a measurement. Where we have not looked, the line says so rather than reading as a zero.
In the package we scanned
No package has been scanned for this app, so nothing is published about what it ships. That is an absence of evidence about the app, not a finding about it.

App-specific findings, grouped by what each one rests on. How they are graded lives on its own page.
Positive evidence 1
Things this app does right, published at the same strengths as the catch list.
One source only — shown, not confirmed 1
A single kind of evidence. We publish these because withholding them would be the bigger distortion, and we do not treat any of them as a finding we stand behind.
Highlighted reviews
Representative public review excerpts shown as user reports, not Appworthy audit evidence.
“This began as a great app, but these days they have placed almost everything behind a paywall. You can't even see the basic "Go Deeper" insights, as of this morning, without signing up for a membership. They have created so many layers…”
“has always been pretty accurate and I've always loved the detail it goes into without putting your traits into rigid boxes. I understand the increase in subscription content but I really miss the old format of the app I feel like it looks…”
