Terms of use.

The rules for using Appworthy, in plain language — not legalese. This is a working draft, written to match how the product actually behaves.

What Appworthy is

Appworthy publishes evidence-based reviews of mobile apps and a row of published measurements describing how fairly an app treats the person installing it. We're independent — see how it works. Once these terms take effect, using the site will mean you accept them.

No warranty on listings

We work to get facts right and fix what we don't — but we can't promise perfection.
  • App listings, measurements, findings, and reports are provided "as is," without a warranty that every detail stays current or error-free. Prices, plans, and store policies can change faster than we retest.
  • Always check an app's own store listing before you buy — our report is dated to a version and test date, not a live feed.
  • An Appworthy measurement or finding is our published observation, based on our published methodology — not a guarantee of an app's behavior after our test date.
  • Found something wrong? Objective factual errors are always free to correct: email [email protected] with the evidence.

Trademarks belong to their owners

App names, store names (including App Store and Google Play), developer names, icons, and screenshots shown on Appworthy belong to their respective owners. We show them for identification and review purposes only. Appearing on Appworthy does not mean an app or its developer endorses us, and being reviewed here does not imply any affiliation with Apple, Google, or the developer.

Prohibited use

  • Don't scrape or republish Appworthy measurements in a way that implies our endorsement of your product.
  • Don't submit false or fabricated evidence in a correction or a dispute.
  • Don't use correction requests to harass a developer or a competitor.
  • Don't interfere with how the site works — large-scale scraping, automated abuse, or security probing without permission.
  • Don't quote an Appworthy measurement or finding out of context in a way that misrepresents it.

Changes to these terms

We're a small team building this in the open. These terms — and the site itself — will change as the product develops. Once in force, material changes will be dated and noted here.
