What the analysis found

Each finding shows what agreed and how strongly. Automated analysis

One source only — shown, not confirmed 4

A single kind of evidence. We publish these because withholding them would be the bigger distortion, and we do not treat any of them as a finding we stand behind.

Reported by users: Aggressive ad load
One source onlyShown, not confirmed — the only source is user reviews.view evidence
Advertising volume or placement that interrupts normal use: ads between every action, unskippable or forced full-screen ads.
What we saw: Aggressive ad load: raised by 29 distinct reviewers (13.7% of 211 reviews scanned)
Reported by users: Progress pauses until you wait or pay
One source onlyShown, not confirmed — the only source is user reviews.view evidence
Use is rationed by an energy/hearts/lives meter that runs out and forces a wait or a purchase.
What we saw: Energy / timer gating: raised by 6 distinct reviewers (2.8% of 211 reviews scanned)
Reported by users: Pay to progress
One source onlyShown, not confirmed — the only source is user reviews.view evidence
Advancement or competition is gated behind spending money rather than playing.
What we saw: Pay to progress: raised by 10 distinct reviewers (4.7% of 211 reviews scanned)
From the store listing: Usable without an account
One source onlyShown, not confirmed — the only source is the store privacy disclosure.view evidence
The app's own screens offer a way past sign-up — guest access, skipping, or browsing before registering — rather than gating the product behind an account. The store's privacy disclosure is checked alongside it: that disclosure is self-reported, so it corroborates this credit rather than establishing it.
What we saw: The store privacy disclosure (4 entries) links no contact details or identifiers to the user — consistent with an app that does not require an account. Self-reported by the developer.

What reviewers said

Verbatim excerpts from public store reviews, shown as corroborating user reports. They are not Appworthy audit evidence, and a quotation is not proof of the finding it sits under.

Aggressive ad load

too many ads — i love this game, i think its a really fun take on tower defense. but there's just too many ads. if it was just opt-in ads for bonuses that would be one thing, but i'm also getting ads after beating a round and going back…

Bad — Horrible game. Far too many adds, and the levels are basically impossible to pass.

1★ · App Store · 2026-09-10

Amazing — This game is amazing there are no forced ads but the game is to easy so just make it harder and I will do a 5 star

Progress pauses until you wait or pay

Garbage — It’s horrible. It says it’s easy but it’s not easy because of the weapons and upgrades that it gives you are terrible. It took me over 10 tries to get passed the first round or chapter. Upgrading your stuff doesn’t help because…

Unplayable without ads — Progressing in the early game is incredibly challenging without watching ads. This would be fine except you run out of energy quickly and the only way to get more is… MORE ADS!

1★ · App Store · 2026-08-24

Remove stamina — I love the game and it's honestly really fun. This game is perfect in every way except the stamina. Why should we have to wait to play the game!? Dont you want people to enjoy the game? Please dont make this one of those…

Pay to progress

Monetization — This game has been getting progressively worse with the rising cost of in-game items. I have noticed a shift toward pay-to-play mechanics, and even more aggressive pay-to-win elements. It is disappointing to see companies…

Souls like — At first it feel pay to win however when you hit lvl 20 the game really gets easier and its hella fun trying to make builds and work with what weapons and upgrades you collect definitely recommend

How the automated analysis works

Automated, corroborated, and never human-reviewed without a person.

This assessment is produced automatically. Three independent signals are read — user reviews, the store listing and the store privacy disclosure — and each candidate finding is filed under the sources that support it.

No charge stands on one kind of evidence — with one published exception. A finding is either a measured fact that anyone can reproduce (an ad SDK is in the package; every subscription bills weekly; the privacy label omits a tracker we can see), or it is an interpretation — and an interpretation needs independent sources to agree before it reaches the catch list. The exception is a harm only users can see: a charge may publish from reviews alone, as “Reported by N users”, once enough reviewers raise it to clear that charge’s own published bar. That agreement rule is what replaced the human reviewer, not a model’s confidence.

There is no overall score, on purpose. A 0–99 number was published here until 2026-09-15. It was withdrawn because it discriminated too weakly to be the instrument — 44.7% of every pair of apps tied — and because a single number is a verdict where a count is an observation. What publishes instead is a row of measurements, each of which says what was counted and, where we could not look, says that instead.

Findings under One source only are real reports we do not stand behind as findings. They are shown because withholding them entirely would hide a genuine complaint, and labelled because publishing them as charges would be an accusation off a single source.

 Not yet human-reviewed

Several measurements above say “Not assessed” because no artefact we hold can answer them. A human review is what resolves those — and it can remove a favourable band as easily as add one.

Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
