Constant upsell pressure
Used to Love It — A couple weeks ago (and the last few years) the app would automatically wirelessly record my score at Bowlero for the last six games. That was plenty for my casual game and it was free. I can’t do that any longer. The…
Pushy to pay but never works — Everytime you open the app it’s asking you to pay for premium but the app very rarely connect and works as intended if it actually connected and retained scores like it’s supposed to it would be great
Waste of time — Ive had the app for the last couple years. It was a great app and wonderful to show as much data as it did. Then they switched to a subscription based model. Locking your bowling data behind a paywall.. well I can see it…
Aggressive ad load
Do NOT Download — Do you like constant ads? Do you like paying for every feature? Then this app is for you. It was fun while it lasted.
Not worth it — Free version gives you no functionality now. Paid version is flooded with ads and promos. Cannot track more than one bowler and doesn’t have profiles to allow you to track multiple bowlers. Constantly having to sign in…
Too many ads for paid…. — If paying for the annual membership expect to open the app and just use it, no ads, nothing. Instead we get promoted to buy the app still. Makes no sense and annoying.
Paywall blocks the basics
Entire Point Is Now Paid — I used to use this app a lot. It was amazing. I could go to my local bowling alley, choose the lane i’m at, and it would do everything for me. The app was perfect. I took a break for a few months and came back…
Greedy — Was free to track your games now it requires the paid version of the app.
Basic features behind a paywall — It was a good app but now they require everything locked behind a subscription paywall. I thoroughly despise monthly payments for software. No more subscriptions.
How a review signal works
A review signal is produced automatically from public app reviews by a classifier — never by a hands-on Appworthy test, and never by a human analyst. It exists so a real, not-yet-audited app can carry more than a blank “Not yet tested” listing, without ever being mistaken for an assessment.
A theme only appears above once at least 5 distinct reviews corroborate it — one angry review can never tag an app. These thresholds are published settings and may be tuned as coverage grows.
It carries no confirmed findings — reviews are one kind of evidence, and nothing here has been hands-on tested. The moment Appworthy publishes a full assessment of this app, it replaces this signal, permanently.
A human review replaces this review-derived signal with hands-on, recorded measurements.
Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
