What the analysis found

Each finding shows what agreed and how strongly. Automated analysis

One source only — shown, not confirmed 4

A single kind of evidence. We publish these because withholding them would be the bigger distortion, and we do not treat any of them as a finding we stand behind.

Reported by users: Upgrade prompts use guilt-trip wording

What we saw: Constant upsell pressure: raised by 7 distinct reviewers (1.4% of 507 reviews scanned)

What reviewers said

Verbatim excerpts from public store reviews, shown as corroborating user reports. They are not Appworthy audit evidence, and a quotation is not proof of the finding it sits under.

Aggressive ad load

Sucks — Too many adds. Won’t let you save photos.

Way too many ads — Too many ads that take forever to get things done. And got to jump through hoops to finish your layout and export. It wasn’t this way a few years back. I get it that it is free to but I deleted the app; there are other…

2★ · App Store · 2026-02-21

Pain in the butt — The ads and offers to upgrade are ridiculous it’s a simple collage app

1★ · App Store · 2026-02-01

Hard to cancel

Scam! — Force you to subscribe and won’t allow you to cancel I literally downloaded it did use it and can’t unsubscribe in the Apple Store scam avoid at all cost!!!!!!!!

1★ · App Store · 2024-05-03

Difficult to cancel - AVOID — Difficult to cancel - AVOID

1★ · App Store · 2023-12-20

Horrible — If I could give zero I would they are making it so difficult to cancel and authorized a new card without my permission!

1★ · App Store · 2023-08-12

Paywall blocks the basics

Can't save anything without paying — They make it seem like you can make a beautiful collage with the free version, but you cannot SAVE for use outside the app without paying. So it's a COMPLETE waste of time if you don't pay.

1★ · App Store · 2026-09-09

useless — sucks u have to pay for everything 😭

1★ · App Store · 2026-08-17

SCAM — This app is a scam, it doesn’t let you save any good colleges they are behind a paywall. That’s fine but they sneak in that it’s 7 dollars a week. That’s outrageous and not user friendly.

1★ · App Store · 2026-08-07

Upgrade prompts use guilt-trip wording

App sucks — So many pop ups and bugging u to pay absolutely BS

1★ · App Store · 2026-05-15

Not User Friendly — Difficult to maneuver the through the app. Unable to determine if I am using the free version or paying. Everytime I create a collage it asks to pay. This app for the Mac is not like the Iphone app.

1★ · App Store · 2024-05-04

AWFUL — Couldn’t even make one I was putting the photos in and every time I tried to click next it kept telling me for the subscription there are so many others that are WAY BETTER PLS DONT DOWNLOAD THIS

How the automated analysis works

Automated, corroborated, and never human-reviewed without a person.

This assessment is produced automatically. Three independent signals are read — user reviews, the store listing and the store privacy disclosure — and each candidate finding is filed under the sources that support it.

No charge stands on one kind of evidence — with one published exception. A finding is either a measured fact that anyone can reproduce (an ad SDK is in the package; every subscription bills weekly; the privacy label omits a tracker we can see), or it is an interpretation — and an interpretation needs independent sources to agree before it reaches the catch list. The exception is a harm only users can see: a charge may publish from reviews alone, as “Reported by N users”, once enough reviewers raise it to clear that charge’s own published bar. That agreement rule is what replaced the human reviewer, not a model’s confidence.

There is no overall score, on purpose. A 0–99 number was published here until 2026-09-15. It was withdrawn because it discriminated too weakly to be the instrument — 44.7% of every pair of apps tied — and because a single number is a verdict where a count is an observation. What publishes instead is a row of measurements, each of which says what was counted and, where we could not look, says that instead.

Findings under One source only are real reports we do not stand behind as findings. They are shown because withholding them entirely would hide a genuine complaint, and labelled because publishing them as charges would be an accusation off a single source.

 Not yet human-reviewed

Several measurements above say “Not assessed” because no artefact we hold can answer them. A human review is what resolves those — and it can remove a favourable band as easily as add one.

Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
