Verbatim excerpts from public store reviews, shown as corroborating user reports. They are not Appworthy audit evidence, and a quotation is not proof of the finding it sits under.
Aggressive ad load
The ads in this app are incredibly intrusive. It makes it almost unreadable. I was spending more time trying to click out of ads than I was reading. I'd get a 5 second ad every two pages, then every 3rd ad or so would be 30 seconds. There…
books are actually free. ads pop up literally every 30-60 seconds. that irked me so I caved to check out the add free prices. Only 6 for the year so I bought. still some ads, but it's not while I'm reading so I'm with it.
This is literally the worst reading app I've ever tried to read a book on. 1st their CHAPTERS are approx 1200 words w/ a 30sec-5min ad EVERY 400 approx words, that's a page in a book. I counted. So every page it stops and you have to wait…
What this app sells
How a review signal works
A review signal is produced automatically from public app reviews by a classifier — never by a hands-on Appworthy test, and never by a human analyst. It exists so a real, not-yet-audited app can carry more than a blank “Not yet tested” listing, without ever being mistaken for an assessment.
A theme only appears above once at least 5 distinct reviews corroborate it — one angry review can never tag an app. These thresholds are published settings and may be tuned as coverage grows.
It carries no confirmed findings — reviews are one kind of evidence, and nothing here has been hands-on tested. The moment Appworthy publishes a full assessment of this app, it replaces this signal, permanently.
A human review replaces this review-derived signal with hands-on, recorded measurements.
Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
