Surprise charges
TOTAL SCAM!!! Signed for 1 week at $0.99 to trial it. After 2 days they charged renewal for $29.99/wk. Try to cancel on 3rd day & won't refund $29.99. App gave 9 stories in English; rest in Spanish or French. Story I installed on wasn't…
This is a scam company. I paid $0.99 for a trial, and they charged me twice. The app did not work, the layout was bad, and I cancelled it. Two days later, they took two VIP charges of $29.99 each from my bank. Support refused to refund me…
SCAM! They keep charging my card! I paid .99 and within 2 weeks, I was charged almost $30 2x. The first charge was within a few days of the .99 charge. They did not wait a week to draft the monthly fee and now they keep trying to draft…
Hard to cancel
SCAM. A previous rating said the app charged .99 cents for an initial subscription fee and 3 days later another 30. This is true. I subscribed and was charged .99 cents, the same day I tried to cancel but there is no way to cancel through…
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!!! THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL!!! I logged into my PayPal account, went to menu, subscriptions, and then change to "linked businesses". Find Clockwise International (Hong Kong) Limited, select it, click on "manage" and…
I can not cancel the subscription! I am not authorizing these people to take $30! This is awful and misleading! Do not download this awful app as you will not be able to cancel anywhere in the app. It is not listed in my subscriptions…
Misleading advertising
was advertised as a "free" book app, which usually means tons of ads, but nope, watching ads to read isn't an option at all. y'all need to stop lying about that
NOT FREE! I can't even get past opening the app without a forced paid subscription. I'm not paying for something that is supposed to be free. I wish these false advertising apps would get fined for this nonsense.
SCAM DO NOT INSTALL! It's a bait and switch! They say it is only .99/week, then last night they tried to charge my account 29.90 twelve times! Then when I went to cancel, it doesn't show up in my subscriptions in Google. Still waiting to…
Paywall blocks the basics
Not worth the space on your phone. I downloaded this through an ad because the story was cool. Get the app open there's no name for the book and it's stick at chapter 5 aggressively telling me I have to pay to read more. I can't even go…
you have to pay to read. there are no options for free chapters, like watching ads or playing games for coins. no thank you!
it said it was free and then you had to pay for a subscription and it was to much. The story is good what I was allowed to read.
What this app sells
How a review signal works
A review signal is produced automatically from public app reviews by a classifier — never by a hands-on Appworthy test, and never by a human analyst. It exists so a real, not-yet-audited app can carry more than a blank “Not yet tested” listing, without ever being mistaken for an assessment.
A theme only appears above once at least 5 distinct reviews corroborate it — one angry review can never tag an app. These thresholds are published settings and may be tuned as coverage grows.
It carries no confirmed findings — reviews are one kind of evidence, and nothing here has been hands-on tested. The moment Appworthy publishes a full assessment of this app, it replaces this signal, permanently.
A human review replaces this review-derived signal with hands-on, recorded measurements.
Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
