We analyzed this app across 3 independent signals and corroborated nothing unfair. That is a signal, not an audit.
This analysis describes version 6.5.36 of the app, analyzed 2026-10-05 . The app may have changed since.
The store currently lists version 6.5.36, updated 2026-09-28.
What the analysis found
One source only — shown, not confirmed 5
A single kind of evidence. We publish these because withholding them would be the bigger distortion, and we do not treat any of them as a finding we stand behind.
What reviewers said
Verbatim excerpts from public store reviews, shown as corroborating user reports. They are not Appworthy audit evidence, and a quotation is not proof of the finding it sits under.
Trial converts to a charge
Charged — I downloaded the app and signed up for a free 7 day trial, but the day I signed up they charged me 30$ and I didn’t even get a free trial in which I tried to canceled but was already charged the day I downloaded it
THIS APP WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY IF YOU GET THERE FREE TRIAL!!!! — I got a free trial with them and immediately canceled in order to make sure they didn’t charge me anything and still they charged nearly $30 off my account with their shady…
Charged me even though I canceled — Signed up for the free trial, immediately cancelled, and they still charged me. Requesting refund
Hard to cancel

Hiding subscription cancellation — Seed oil scout in theory is a great app. But the reality of it is there are barely any restaurants available, overpriced, and they hide subscription cancelations. I’d avoid seed oils count and just do…
App that scam charges you & runs only off user data — This app is terrible. I’m not sure where all these positive reviews came from. It’s false, don’t buy into it. The app is run entirely off User data and input, so if you’re not in a…
Reports that the ads misrepresent the app
Scammed into being charged for the annual memberhsip — Horrible app. I was forced into a free trial with only the expensive annual option available to even see the app. It explicitly promised to email me before charging, but they never…
NOT FREE!!!! — I answered all these questionnaires just for it to make me pay monthly, false advertising and NOT worth the bucks..
Dishonest — I have been on the email list a while, and today’s email pointed me towards this, as the email touted, FREE app. It is in no way free. Now I’m not uninterested because they’d like to get paid for their work. I get that. But…
Paywall blocks the basics
paywall — u need to pay to use the app at all
Great idea / bad business model — I’d really love to try this app out, but I am unwilling to sign up for a paid version that I have to cancel after I try it. Network effect is a powerful tool in the freemium space. Look at apps like…
Betrayed their Customers — I loved this app so I can find restaurants and stores locally with good ingredients. I am annoyed because they added a subscription fee for the app. It used to be free and now it’s not. I understand everything…

How the automated analysis works
This assessment is produced automatically. Three independent signals are read — user reviews, the store listing and the store privacy disclosure — and each candidate finding is filed under the sources that support it.
No charge stands on one kind of evidence — with one published exception. A finding is either a measured fact that anyone can reproduce (an ad SDK is in the package; every subscription bills weekly; the privacy label omits a tracker we can see), or it is an interpretation — and an interpretation needs independent sources to agree before it reaches the catch list. The exception is a harm only users can see: a charge may publish from reviews alone, as “Reported by N users”, once enough reviewers raise it to clear that charge’s own published bar. That agreement rule is what replaced the human reviewer, not a model’s confidence.
There is no overall score, on purpose. A 0–99 number was published here until 2026-09-15. It was withdrawn because it discriminated too weakly to be the instrument — 44.7% of every pair of apps tied — and because a single number is a verdict where a count is an observation. What publishes instead is a row of measurements, each of which says what was counted and, where we could not look, says that instead.
Findings under One source only are real reports we do not stand behind as findings. They are shown because withholding them entirely would hide a genuine complaint, and labelled because publishing them as charges would be an accusation off a single source.
Several measurements above say “Not assessed” because no artefact we hold can answer them. A human review is what resolves those — and it can remove a favourable band as easily as add one.
Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
