Affix is a word game about restraint.
Two players take turns adding a single letter to a growing fragment — front or back, your choice. The trap is simple: complete a real word and you lose the round. Lose five rounds and you've spelled G-H-O-S-T, and you're out.
So you play the long game. Steer toward words without ever arriving. Bluff with a letter that leads nowhere and hope it isn't noticed. And when you think your opponent is the one bluffing, challenge them — they'll have to name a real word containing the fragment, or lose the round on the spot.
THE DAILY
One shared fragment, the same for everyone, every day. One round, one shot. Share your result as a grid of squares and compare.
PLAY YOUR WAY
Four difficulties, from an opponent who slips often to one that searches to the end and will not blunder. Optional turn timer. Minimum word length of three or four letters.…
