The Astrophotographer’s Universe contains a lifetime of imaging targets in one guide, helping you decide what to photograph in the night sky. Find the optimal astrophotography targets and plan your imaging with confidence.
Full details for every object includes their history, notes about framing and visibility charts for your location. All of the best targets have hi-resolution images with annotations and even separate narrowband channels for nebulae.
You can search and filter by object type, size, and image potential.
This tool was built by astrophotographers, for astrophotographers, to help you make the most of every clear night.

Each store’s release notes, as the developer wrote them. They are the developer’s words, not ours.
Thanks for all of your collective feedback on the app. We've fixed several related issues with the horizon and the altitude/azimuth gridlines not reflecting your selected location. We've also tweaked the look of these lines and changed the way the deep sky panorama moves as you pan around, so your local horizon is kept level.

astrophotographer-s-universeWhat the stores publish. Store ratings are the stores’ numbers, not Appworthy’s, and are never averaged across stores.
From the store listing. Billing terms are read from each purchase’s name — the stores don’t publish them — so treat them as a strong hint, not a disclosure.
These are really on sale; we just can’t tell from the name whether they recur.
Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.
Write to [email protected], or use the form. Name the finding, the app version and the evidence that needs correcting. Factual corrections are free and never depend on buying anything.
