Ever wanted a geologist to ride along and explain what's outside your window?
Being a geologist myself, I went on vacation and wished I had someone to read geologic map descriptions as we drove across the countryside. When I got home, I started working on Backseat Geologist to do just that!
Backseat Geologist will give you audio descriptions of the rocks below your feet or wheels as you travel.
- Browse the geologic map and tap around to see details about the geologic units that are near you
- Start an Explore session and get updates on the geology below you as you move around
- Overlook Mode scans the geology of what you can see and tells you all about it
- Create Routes to listen to the geologic story of your commute, road trip, or family outing. Routes combine the context of each geologic unit you pass to create a more cohesive set of descriptions.…

backseat-geologistWhat the stores publish. Store ratings are the stores’ numbers, not Appworthy’s, and are never averaged across stores.
From the store listing. Billing terms are read from each purchase’s name — the stores don’t publish them — so treat them as a strong hint, not a disclosure.
These are really on sale; we just can’t tell from the name whether they recur.
Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.
