Custom alert sounds Earlier, the app could play only two built-in sounds: Siren for high-severity alerts and Chimes for everything else. That made it hard to tell alerts apart without looking at the phone, and it was hard to remember which sound meant which kind of event. Organizations can now use their own alert sounds, so people hear a different tone based on how serious the alert is. Over time, you can recognize urgency by ear and react faster.
