About this app

□Story

In medieval Europe, the legend of Dracula is told in frightened whispers in the small country of Transylvania.

Once every century, the prayers of those with evil in their hearts shall resurrect the Dark Lord Dracula. Each time he returns, his dark powers grow stronger than the last.

One night there was a magnificent carnival being held in the bustling city. That night marked the 100th year anniversary of Dracula’s defeat at the hands of the hero Christopher Belmont.

Suddenly, the town was enveloped by dark storm clouds and a bolt of lightning rained down, signaling that Count Dracula and his evil ambitions had returned to the world yet again.

With the Belmont blood running though his veins, the young Vampire Hunter Simon knew that only he could face this evil.…

Thank you. The port plays perfectly. Got to the third level. Touch controls are nice and big and responsive. The app is around 5 megabytes so no reason to ever uninstall it. It's the first castlevania for free on your phone with no ads…

5★ · Google Play · 2026-10-16

Great for the nostalgia! I found no issues with the graphics or the music, although the sound effects don't sound quite like the original. I made it to the infamous hallway to Death with the Axe Knights and Medusa Heads, but even with…

3★ · Google Play · 2026-10-10

The gameplay is 1-to-1 with the original (which is a good thing for a port) however the screen is too small and there are no settings to change it. Controller support would also be nice At least it's a (temporarily) free mobile port with…

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

How a review signal works

A review signal is produced automatically from public app reviews by a classifier — never by a hands-on Appworthy test, and never by a human analyst. It exists so a real, not-yet-audited app can carry more than a blank “Not yet tested” listing, without ever being mistaken for an assessment.

A theme only appears above once at least 5 distinct reviews corroborate it — one angry review can never tag an app. These thresholds are published settings and may be tuned as coverage grows.

It carries no confirmed findings — reviews are one kind of evidence, and nothing here has been hands-on tested. The moment Appworthy publishes a full assessment of this app, it replaces this signal, permanently.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review replaces this review-derived signal with hands-on, recorded measurements. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
