About this app

Chute turns your iPhone and iPad into a complete network workstation: a rule-based proxy client, an HTTPS debugging proxy, and a full DNS stack — all running on a network engine written from scratch for Apple platforms.

Switch it on and every connection your apps make can be inspected, routed, rewritten, or blocked by your rules.

SYSTEM-WIDE PROXY

• Chute VIF — a transparent virtual interface on a custom TCP/IP stack, no per-app setup

• Local HTTP and SOCKS5 servers for other devices on your network

• Proxy chaining — a node through another node, a group through one upstream, or one Front Proxy for every node

• Hot reload — edit rules, DNS, and scripts without dropping a connection; on-demand start that survives reboots…

Store update history

Each store’s release notes, as the developer wrote them. They are the developer’s words, not ours.

App Store

Version 1.3.0 · 2026-10-28
NEW • Import Clash and sing-box profiles, share links (ss://, vmess:// and more) and node-list subscriptions from a file, the clipboard, a link, or Open in Chute • Support for the foldable iPhone — the layout follows the screen as it folds and unfolds, and controls stay clear of the side strip • A fresh look for the main screen and Settings, with consistent icons and a simpler configuration row • Settings shows each option's current value on the right, in all eight built-in languages • A redesigned HTTPS decryption certificate page with a step-by-step install guide • Chute warns before loading a configuration with a very large inline rule table, and suggests moving large lists to RULE-SET…

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
