About this app
Full featured digital field guide for birding in Costa Rica.
Costa Rica Birds includes all of the birds that have occurred in this beautiful country as well as several species that may eventually occur. This digital field guide requires no Internet connection and has a wealth of information and features that make it an excellent reference guide before, during, and after any trip to Costa Rica.
Since this app was released in 2015, local bird experts in Costa Rica have updated features and information to turn this app into a comprehensive digital tool that can be personalized with target lists, lists of birds seen and heard, and notes.
It also includes accurate and up to date information about bird identification, habits and habitats for 930 plus species on the Costa Rica list as well as 70 plus additional species that may eventually occur in Costa Rica.…

Method and limits
What a missing label means
Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.
Limits of this report
- A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
- Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
- Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
- A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
