Have fun cracking secret codes! The messages here have been encrypted with mathematical ciphers. Find the patterns and use them to help crack the codes.
Each day a new encrypted message is released. Messages include anecdotes about the history of cryptography, fun facts about science, and inspirational quotes. See how many days in a row you can successfully crack a message!
All released messages are available through the app’s calendar. Every day of the week except Sunday has its own cipher type: Caesar, Additive, Keyword, Multiplicative, Vigenère, or Affine. The ciphers generally get more complicated as the week goes on. Sunday’s message is a wildcard that could use any of those cipher types.
Don’t know what these ciphers are? No problem! The app has descriptions and examples of the patterns involved.…
