DNS Security helps protect your privacy by encrypting DNS queries with DNS over HTTPS (DoH) and DNS over TLS (DoT). Choose a provider, enable your DNS configuration, and manage your settings in one place—without routing your internet traffic through a VPN.

WHY ENCRYPT YOUR DNS?

HTTPS protects the content exchanged with websites, but traditional DNS lookups may still be unencrypted. These lookups translate domain names into IP addresses and can reveal the domains your device requests.

Encrypted DNS helps protect queries between your device and your chosen DNS provider from eavesdropping and tampering. Your provider still handles those queries, so choose one whose privacy practices you trust.

New for Pro: DNS Speed Test. • Compare up to 4 DNS profiles at once, built-in or your own. • Test with your own list of up to 10 domains. Each domain is queried 3 times per server. • Results are ranked fastest first, with bars that make the differences easy to see. • Expand any server to see the best, median, and worst time for each domain. • Queries slower than 2 seconds count as failed, so one slow server doesn't hold up the test. Also in this version: • Custom DoH profiles for servers that require HTTP/2, such as Quad9, now pass the connection check when you add them. The DNS Speed Test requires the Pro in-app upgrade. DNS Security Pro includes it. Results vary with network conditions.
