About this app

Beat Note — Drum Notation for Drummers, Teachers, and Content Creators

The fastest way to write, hear, practice, and share drum notation. Built by a drummer, for drummers.

FOR DRUMMERS — FROM YOUR HEAD TO THE PAGE IN SECONDS

You have a groove idea. Beat Note gets it down before you lose it.

Tap the sequencer grid to build beats. Watch them turn into clean, professional drum notation in real time. Hit play and hear exactly what you wrote — at any tempo, with a click track, on loop.

- Transcribe songs to check your ear and lock in what you hear

- Compose your own grooves, fills, and exercises from scratch

- Count in with a visual on-screen "1, 2, 3, 4" so your eyes and ears are ready together

- Use Beat Note as your in-ear metronome during rehearsals — your beats, not just clicks

"Been waiting a long time for an app like this. Clearly built by a drummer." — App Store review…

Version 5.8.1 · 2026-10-24
Thanks for using Drum Notation by Beat Note! IMPROVEMENTS - Exported videos now include the count-in clicks, even with Include Audio turned off. Lining up a video of your own performance with the export is easier: just match up the count-in clicks in the waveforms. - Already subscribed? If you tap Subscribe by accident, Beat Note now recognizes your existing subscription and restores it, so there's no need to worry about being charged a second time. BUG FIXES - Fixed the count-in in Practice being invisible when notation is shown in black on a white background. - Fixed duplicating the last measure while editing a beat leaving a repeat sign on the measure you duplicated as well as on the…

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
