About this app

Elytra is a private RSS reader for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Follow the news sites and blogs you choose, read them in a clean native reader with every tracker stripped out, and keep everything in sync across your devices.

Elytra is a paid app: every new account starts with a 14-day free trial, after which you can subscribe or buy a one-time lifetime licence.

WHY ELYTRA

PRIVATE BY DESIGN: Your account is created automatically. There is no email, no password and no personal information. A random account ID and anonymous crash reports are the only data Elytra uses, and only to sync your feeds and keep the app stable.

NO TRACKING: Elytra removes tracking scripts and tracking pixels from every article, so what you read stays between you and your device.

NATIVE READER: Articles are rendered with native iOS text and image views, not a web view.…

App Store

Version 2026.10.2 · 2026-10-21
New • The Bloccs widget can show articles from a single folder. Pick the folder in the widget's settings. • Designed for iPhone Duo. Folded or unfolded, your feeds and articles fit the screen. • Full Screen. Hide the sidebar and the article list so an article fills the width, and tap again to bring them back. Each window keeps its own setting. Improvements • On iPhone Duo, the toolbar beside an article keeps Full Screen, Search, and the previous and next arrows to hand. The rest are in the "…" menu. Fixes • Fixed widgets that stayed blank. • Fixed an article jumping back to the top when you fold or unfold iPhone Duo.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
