About this app

Inspired by paper planners, Finalist shows your calendar, tasks, notes, reminders and weather forecast in one beautiful timeline. It even pulls in your Journal Suggestions and Activity Rings to keep you inspired. Gorgeous themes make planning a joy, not a chore.

Finalist is built for people who finish things, no complex workflows or productivity theater.

NOTES, IN YOUR PLANNER

Your planner remembers what you wrote. A dedicated Notes tab gives you notebooks, tags and search. Keep native notes that sync over iCloud, or connect a folder of plain markdown files, including your Obsidian vault, and edit them in place. Tasks inside your markdown files become real Finalist tasks: dated, tagged and checkable anywhere in the app.…

A fresh Live Activity, tag colors on your Timeline, and a round of fixes. LIVE ACTIVITY - A postcard or a Landscape scene. TIMELINE AND PLANNER - Blocks and day pills take the color of the task's first tag. - Daylight saving days place and save times on the right hour. ADDING TASKS - On iPhone and iPad, the New Task row's ... button opens the full editor with your details filled in. FIXES - Left open past midnight, Finalist moves to the new day on its own. - Fixed a crash while typing notes on macOS 15. - Tasks linked to calendar events no longer go missing from the Timeline. - Lots of smaller tweaks on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
