About this app

Create fonts in seconds, and use them as real vector font files anywhere (Procreate, Photoshop, Mac or PC)

It’s really easy: just draw letters & enjoy typing with your custom typefaces. Fontself turns your alphabet into a font file you can install on any computer.

Fontself is a font creation app that allows you to draw handmade fonts, export them as OpenType files.

Key superpowers:

- Vector brushes (Brush, Pencil, Pen, Qalam reed pen & Marker)

- Pressure-sensitive brushes (via Apple Pencil)

- Export OpenType font files (.otf) to use on any Mac or Windows PC

- Preview in real-time sample texts as you draw

- Showcase your fonts by viewing or sharing customizable layout templates

- Save hours of tedious work with automated spacing & kerning

Version 2.4 · 2026-06-16
New: - Pen Tool: place Bezier points precisely, with Fill mode for contours and Stroke mode for stroke paths. - Shape Tool: draw circles, squares, and triangles as filled or stroked shapes. - Fill Tool: quickly fill closed contours, with Apple Pencil hover preview on supported devices. - Snap: align points and shapes while you draw by touching the screen with one extra finger. These tools make it faster to draw, refine, and export polished OpenType fonts from your own handwriting, brush lettering, or custom alphabet designs.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
