About this app

Every level is a pixel art masterpiece. Your ants will devour it - one color at a time.

Food Hunt is a satisfying color sort puzzle where the puzzle board IS the art. Each level presents a hand-crafted pixel art image built entirely from colored blocks. Sort your ants by color, send them in, and watch them eat the picture clean - block by block, until the board is empty and the level is cleared.

HOW TO PLAY The board is filled with a pixel art image - built entirely from colored blocks. Below the board: your holding slots and block stacks waiting to be tapped.

Tap a block stack to load your ants. They march up and devour every matching colored block in the image. Clear all colors - wipe the board completely - and you win.

The evidence behind this assessment

This is where the page changes from an app-store listing into an evidence report: findings, important reviews, pricing and a dated history.

What we measured

Each line is a measurement published as a measurement, never a verdict.

How these are measured

Each line is a measurement, published as a measurement. Where we have not looked, the line says so rather than reading as a zero.

Counted from the reviews we have read for this app. "No theme reported" means no theme reached our reporting threshold — it is not a finding that nothing is wrong with this app, and we do not say it is.
Five-star share of ratings
80–89% five-star
Arithmetic on the stores' own published rating counts. It says nothing about why the ratings fall where they do.

In the package we scanned

No package has been scanned for this app, so nothing is published about what it ships. That is an absence of evidence about the app, not a finding about it.

What the analysis found

App-specific findings, grouped by what each one rests on. How they are graded lives on its own page.

Methodology

Context 1

Measured and published because a reader would want to know — deliberately not a charge. The measurement alone does not show a harm.

Cheapest and priciest options are far apart
MeasuredPublished as context — deliberately not a charge · from the store listingview evidence
The disclosed in-app purchases span an unusually wide price range. Published as context: the cheapest and priciest items may be different kinds of product entirely, so the spread alone deducts nothing.
What we saw: In-app purchases run from USD 0.99 to USD 19.99 — a 20x spread across 10 items

One source only — shown, not confirmed 3

A single kind of evidence. We publish these because withholding them would be the bigger distortion, and we do not treat any of them as a finding we stand behind.

Advertising volume or placement that interrupts normal use: ads between every action, unskippable or forced full-screen ads.

Reported by users: Pay to progress

Price keeps rising
“Super fun but…. — I’m on level 1426, I’m addicted. But the recent update that increased the cost for power ups is crazy. Considering you only get 40 coins (80 if you watch an ad, but it forces an ad regardless) for beating a level, you’d…”

Price keeps rising
“Wtf — Prices went up in game. Game was barely worth having to start with. Constant ads you are forced to watch. Hardly gives any bonuses. You don’t get hardly any money for completing levels. And now they’re charging more? No thank you.”

Price keeps rising
“Make it make sense — What’s the point in raising the price of the special items and not raising the game winning coins? Now, I’m going to delete the game. It makes no sense. I thought the object is to make the game better or more fun to…”
