Label-O-Scope is a privacy-first iPhone app that scans packaged-food ingredient labels and checks them against your personal Avoid List. Wrapped in the playful spirit of a pocket-sized CRT scanner from “the future” as imagined in the past, it helps you spot unwanted ingredients in a flash!
Results are deterministic using on device OCR and easy to inspect:
• NO MATCHES: No ingredient matching your current Avoid List was detected.
• AVOID: One or more ingredients match, with the exact ingredient and rule shown.
• TAKE ANOTHER LOOK / POSSIBLE AVOID: The label needs your review, so the app avoids giving a false all-clear.

Add individual ingredients or start with optional packs for ingredients people commonly choose to avoid. Every rule remains editable.
