About this app

Know the note. Get the numbers. Back to the beat.

Ordinary tuners are built for long, sustained notes. Play a one-shot through one and the needle jumps around during the attack, then goes blank before you can read it. Latch Tuner is built for how producers actually work: it skips the attack, measures the body of the sound, and holds the answer on screen after the sample has ended.

How it works. You chopped a bass note from an old record and it's fighting your track. Insert Latch Tuner on the channel, trigger the pad once, and it reads:

E3 −26.5 ¢ · 324.6 Hz · MIDI 64

Set TARGET to the note you actually want — say C3 — and it does the conversion for you:

SEMI −4 · FINE +27

Those are the two numbers your sampler's pitch controls take. Type them in, retrigger, done.…

App Store

Version 1.0.1 · 2026-09-17
Minor usability and interface fixes: - NEW: First run now explains that readings hold. A one-time banner says readings stay on screen until the next note. The most common question since launch has been how to "reset" the tuner. The answer is that you don't have to: playing the next note measures it automatically. The HELD pill is there to clear the screen when you want it blank, not to re-arm anything. - NEW: Tap LATCH tab item to clear and measure again. Tapping LATCH while it's still measuring does nothing, so it can't interrupt a capture in progress. - IMPROVED: Hints now appear in the smallest plugin size. The compact plugin frame previously showed no hints at all, which made it the…

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
