About this app

Learning languages is actually pretty simple: if you consume content you enjoy, and you understand that content, you will make progress. Period.

Migaku (and its Chrome browser extension) enables you to do that:

1. Our courses take you from zero to 80% comprehension in ~6 months (10 cards/day)

2. We make text interactive: click words in your phone's YouTube subtitles to see what they mean

3. We let you make media-rich flashcards out of those words with one click

4. We make personalized study sessions out of the flashcards you create

5. Repeat!

Whether you're learning Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, Italian, German, Cantonese, Portuguese, English, French or Vietnamese, Migaku equips you with the tools you need to make real progress.

Migaku requires a paid subscription to access its courses, features, and AI tools.

- Study Schedule: Choose which days of the week you want to study. On your off-days you can still use everything on the Study screen, but you can't start a study session. - Pause Study: Pick a period of time to pause studying, and end the pause early if you're ready to come back. - Streak: Days off and study pauses show in your streak heatmap. - Podcasts: Search results now keep up with what you type, and a search that stalls can be retried right away. - Decks: The more options (⋯) menu now opens on completed decks. - Card Creator: Fixed the Card Creator not displaying correctly on iPad. - Audio: Card and word audio no longer pauses music from other apps after you've used the Local Player.

Purchases the store lists

 What this app sells

From the store listing. Billing terms are read from each purchase’s name — the stores don’t publish them — so treat them as a strong hint, not a disclosure.

These are really on sale; we just can’t tell from the name whether they recur.

This list is cut off. Apple shows at most 10 in-app purchases, and this app is at the limit — so it very likely sells more than we can see.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
