About this app

Five hundred cocktails, chosen one at a time.

Not five thousand scraped off the internet and left to rot. The classic canon in full - the drinks a bartender is expected to know cold - alongside the modern standards that earned the title, and the house recipes worth the trouble of tracking down.

Every one is specified properly. Measures written out, down to the dash. The glass, the ice, the method, the garnish. 277 ingredients cataloged behind them, so a recipe calling for amontillado means amontillado, and says so.

The name is the promise: a mixologist's catalog kept with an ear to the zeitgeist. What the canon settled, what the last twenty years added, and what is being poured this year.…

App Store

Version 1.3.0 · 2026-10-24
Mixologeist is now free to download. The featured drinks are on the house, each poured in its glass with the full recipe. A single purchase opens the rest of the bar, five hundred drinks and counting, and lets you write libations of your own. If you bought the app before this release, you already have all of it. There is nothing to do. Also in this release: • Optimized for iPhone Duo. • Share a recipe as a card. Messages gets a caption with it rather than the recipe twice. • Recipe files preview in Quick Look, in Files and in Mail. • Smoother liquid and garnish on every card.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
