About this app
Know your city. MPLS Crime Watch turns Minneapolis public-safety data into a clear, live picture of what's happening around you.
MAP EVERYTHING
• Every reported incident on a dark, fast map; color-coded by type: violent, gunfire, property, and other
• Heat map view reveals crime clusters at a glance, tap any hotspot for a breakdown of what happens there
• 911 call layer with priority colors (emergency, urgent, routine)
• Filter by time range (24h / 7 days / 30 days) and category
STAY AHEAD
• Nearby alerts: get notified when a new incident is published within 1–5 miles of you
• Area risk right now: the app studies 12 months of incident history by neighborhood and time of day, then tells you when you're near an area with a pattern of crime at this hour, and whether to consider another route
• Trend indicator shows whether incidents are up, down, or flat vs the prior period…

Method and limits
What a missing label means
Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.
Limits of this report
- A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
- Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
- Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
- A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
