About this app

Outerline gives you space to think and space to write. A fast, fluid Markdown editor with no server, no database, and no clutter. Truly native on macOS and iOS. It works offline, opens instantly, and stays out of your way so you can just write.

YOUR FILES STAY YOURS

Every note is an ordinary .md file in a folder you choose, on your iPhone, in iCloud Drive, or anywhere in Files. No proprietary format and no account required to write. Open the same folder in any other Markdown app whenever you like, and take your work with you if you ever leave.…

Store update history

Each store’s release notes, as the developer wrote them. They are the developer’s words, not ours.

App Store

Version 1.2.11 · 2026-10-28
What's New in Outerline 1.2.11 • More refinement for Outerline on iPhone Duo. • Pick up where you left off: notes reopen with your cursor, selection, and scroll position exactly where you left them, even after relaunching. Your place holds through rotation, font size changes, renames, and moves. • Faster tags: adding, renaming, recoloring, or deleting a tag shows up in your library and open notes right away, and tag edits save on their own shortly after you stop typing. • Saving a web page from Safari now shows only the folders in your selected library, and saves into that library. Open Outerline once after updating before sharing from Safari. Also tidies up the title in the Format sheet.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
