About this app

The Pacific Coast Highway is the most scenic drive in America. This is the guide it deserves.

From the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, Washington, to the sun-drenched shores of San Diego, California, the Pacific Coast Highway Almanac covers 124 carefully curated historic sites along one of the world's great coastal roads. Whether you're driving southbound through Washington, Oregon, NorCal, and SoCal — or heading north toward the Olympic Peninsula — every stop has a story worth knowing.

Version 1.60 · 2026-10-23
A cleaner, easier guide to the Pacific Coast Highway • New Getting There page: how to keep your maps app on the coast instead of the inland highways, with a real Apple Maps example from Ventura to Malibu. • One new home for everything from PDR Heritage Roads in the ⓘ menu: our other apps, the "Tap That Road" video (now plays right in the app), our Facebook page, and the road trips that started it all. • Refreshed intro screens with simpler, clearer instructions. • The version and content-update date now appear on the Welcome page, so you can always tell you have the latest. Thanks for traveling the coast with us. See you on the road!

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
