About this app

Pengwin GO! is a sudoku-style logic puzzle with three rules. Here they are first:

- one penguin per color

- one penguin per row, and one per column

- no two penguins next to each other — corners included

That's all of it. The rest you work out yourself.

The board comes already divided into color patches. Seat your penguins until all three rules hold. When a square can't work, tap it and leave a mark. Every answer you rule out narrows what's left, and each board has exactly one solution.

TWO PENGUINS, ONE BEACH

The first is the original penguin: round, unhurried, unbothered by what anyone thinks, doing his own small stubborn thing.

The second is the elegant penguin, in detective styling — hat, magnifying glass, certain the clue is always in the grid.

Ice and sand both suit them. They play Pengwin GO! either way.

Grids start at 4x4 and go up to 12x12.…

Definition

Reviewers repeatedly report that the app is not what its advertising showed. We never see the ad creative itself, so nothing we collect can corroborate or refute this — it is published as an attributed user report: what reviewers say, and how many of them said it.

Nothing was published as a thing to watch for in this assessment. That is not a finding that nothing is wrong with the app.

Tons of ads. How frustrating!!

1★ · Google Play · 2026-09-06

This is advertised as having no ads, but there's a long ad after every level, some of them longer than a full minute. Plus there are banner ads during the levels - and strobe ads during play gets the game an automatic one star.

1★ · Google Play · 2026-10-17

There are no ads until you reach level 52, then roughly ads play every 2 levels and then there are the ones if you need extra ♡'s, so as not have to restart the level. So far it's one of the better games of this type. I wish they would…

every single game including this one that claims no ads is lying,so far the same for all those claiming no annoying ads . Within that limit this is one of the better 'whatever ' doku games now that they added a leader board. I blame…

you can't have an ad for your game that says no ads and then have ads that's false advertising. do not download it has a lot of ads

A sampled review illustrates one person’s experience. It does not establish a finding on its own.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

How the automated analysis works

This assessment is produced automatically. Three independent signals are read — user reviews, the store listing and the store privacy disclosure — and each candidate finding is filed under the sources that support it.

No charge stands on one kind of evidence — with one published exception. A finding is either a measured fact that anyone can reproduce (an ad SDK is in the package; every subscription bills weekly; the privacy label omits a tracker we can see), or it is an interpretation — and an interpretation needs independent sources to agree before it reaches the catch list. The exception is a harm only users can see: a charge may publish from reviews alone, as “Reported by N users”, once enough reviewers raise it to clear that charge’s own published bar. That agreement rule is what replaced the human reviewer, not a model’s confidence.

There is no overall score, on purpose. A 0–99 number was published here until 2026-09-15. It was withdrawn because it discriminated too weakly to be the instrument — 44.7% of every pair of apps tied — and because a single number is a verdict where a count is an observation. What publishes instead is a row of measurements, each of which says what was counted and, where we could not look, says that instead.

Findings under One source only are real reports we do not stand behind as findings. They are shown because withholding them entirely would hide a genuine complaint, and labelled because publishing them as charges would be an accusation off a single source.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A hands-on test can confirm or contradict a finding and adds its own measurements; it does not change a measurement row. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
