About this app

Tired of scrolling through 20 nearly identical sunset photos? Photoscope finds your similar shots and helps you choose the perfect one to keep.

Unlike other apps that just delete duplicates, Photoscope helps you CHOOSE which photos deserve to stay.

PERFECT FOR:

- Burst photos from iPhone camera

- Multiple shots of the same moment

- Travel photos with slight variations

- Portrait sessions with many similar shots

- Anyone with 1000s of "almost duplicate" photos

WHAT MAKES PHOTOSCOPE DIFFERENT:

- Smart detection finds photo series automatically

- Guided comparison helps you pick the best shot

- Works with iPhone burst mode photos

- Available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro

- Completely free - no subscriptions or limits

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Photoscope scans your library for similar photos

2. Review each series with easy side-by-side comparison

REVIEW TO ZERO Series and bursts you've reviewed now leave the grid, so you can work your way down to an empty grid. SPECIAL ALBUMS Your picks, skips, and rejected photos are filed into albums in a Photoscope folder in Photos. EXCLUDED ALBUMS Leave out albums whose photos show up as series by mistake, such as pictures saved from messaging apps. MADE FOR IPHONE DUO Every screen has been carefully reviewed to make the best use of the space in each pose. More improvements and bug fixes.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
