About this app

Progressive Gin is a calm, beautifully crafted take on Progressive Rummy, the rising-contract card game families have played around the kitchen table for generations. You might know it as May I?, Shanghai, Liverpool, Kalooki, or contract rummy. Free to play, the whole game, with everything included. No ads, no coins, no tracking, no internet required. Just a quiet card room and a good game.

LEARN IT AT THE TABLE

New to the game? Rose sits down with you for a short practice round. She deals you a friendly hand and shows you each tap: your first draw, laying down your melds, buying out of turn, and going out. Two quick rounds, two wins, and you're ready for the real table.

HOW IT PLAYS

Across seven rounds the goal grows: two groups of three, then a group and a run, all the way to three runs of four. Each round you draw, build your melds, lay them down, and race to shed every card.…

Store update history

App Store

Version 1.6 · 2026-10-23
Progressive Gin is now free, with everything included. Every felt and every card back is open to everyone. No ads, no coins, no subscriptions. If you bought something before, you keep it. This update gives the whole card room a fresh coat of paint. The rules have not changed. A calmer look • Every screen now sits on your table's felt, with the same quiet panels, type and buttons. • Settings is a full screen of its own. It is shorter, and a new theme shows the moment you pick it. • The menu shows the painted Rose from the app icon. She winks hello. • House Rules is one choice: The Aunties' House, or your own rules. • At the table, every button is easier to hit, a calm line shows whose turn…

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
