About this app

rVPN is a privacy-focused VPN for iOS with end-to-end encryption. Your connection is secured through the Double Ratchet algorithm — meaning even the server operator cannot read your traffic.

Key Features

• End-to-End Encryption — Every packet is encrypted with X3DH key exchange and the Double Ratchet algorithm. Your data is protected at every hop, and past sessions cannot be decrypted even if keys are compromised.

• Full Tunnel Mode — All device traffic is routed through the encrypted tunnel. No per-app configuration needed.

• Split Tunneling — Configure which networks connect directly while protecting everything else through the VPN.

• Standard TLS Transport — Traffic flows over standard WebSocket/TLS on port 443.

• Open Source — Fully auditable. The entire codebase is available on GitHub.

This release makes the VPN dramatically more reliable on iPhone: - Survives sleep: the tunnel no longer assumes the connection is dead after the phone dozes - it probes first and keeps healthy sessions alive, so the VPN stays connected through hours of standby. - Faster recovery from dead zones (lifts, tunnels, basement car parks): reconnects complete in seconds instead of looping while no data flows. - Fixed a crash that could occur while reconnecting between networks. - Fixed a slow memory leak that could eventually disconnect the tunnel on long-running sessions. - Holds a background task during every reconnect so iOS can't suspend the tunnel…
