About this app

Shell SSH is a focused SSH client for iPhone and iPad. It opens a real interactive terminal to the servers you administer — not a box that runs one command at a time.

CONNECT

• Save hosts with a name, address, port, username and notes

• Authenticate with an SSH key or a password

• Servers that only offer keyboard-interactive login, as some two-factor setups do, aren't supported yet

• Search across names, addresses, usernames and notes

• Open several sessions at once as tabs, and switch without disconnecting

• On iPad, run two terminals side by side and drag the divider where you want it

• Your tabs and your split come back the way you left them when you reopen the app…

Focus mode on iPad: one session fills the whole screen, with tabs, host list and toolbar out of the way until you need them. Press ⌘⇧F, or tap the pill for the session's controls. The terminal's controls now live in the tab strip on iPad, so the terminal gets the room the title bar used to take. Smoother layout changes: split view, the sidebar and rotation no longer flicker or redraw your shell twice. The server-verification sheet fits on iPad and says plainly what to check.
