About this app

SpiceCore is a generative synthesizer for iPad.

A polyphonic analogue-style engine (dual morphing oscillators, a dual filter with four modes and parallel routing, OSC-FM and ring modulation) with the warmth, drift, and character of the real thing.

What makes SpiceCore different is its generative engine, with three ways to play: a 32-step sequencer with Euclidean rhythms, Markov evolution, and bounded mutation; a Motion Arp; and Harmonic Mode. Four macros (Mutation, Density, Chaos, Memory) put generative behaviour at your fingertips, with their own values per generator.

MIDI OUT FOR YOUR RIG

Each generator leaves on its own MIDI channel: sequencer, Motion Arp, and Harmonic chords, one voice each, into a hardware synth or a multi-channel MIDI-to-CV interface. In standalone, pick a USB, network, or Bluetooth MIDI port and SpiceCore becomes the generative brain of your rig.…

Version 2.4.0 · 2026-10-18
SpiceCore 2.4.0 adds support for the Novation Launch Control XL 3 and the six-preset Sheffield Pack, and fixes the second oscillator and the modulation routes. • LAUNCH CONTROL XL 3. Connect the XL 3 to the iPad and the standalone app assigns its controls: macros and mix on the faders; filter, effects and the current generator's controls on the knobs; generators, mutes, Latch and the Conductor on the buttons; Harmonic chords on the pads. Its screen names each control as you touch it, and its lights show what is playing. There is no mapping to set up. Standalone app only. • HOLD TO CONFIRM. On the XL 3, switching generator, loading a preset and Rescue (reloading the current preset) happen…

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
