Tusks makes posting to Mastodon feel like publishing to your blog.
This is a Mastodon client with no timeline — just your posts. More specifically, it’s built around threads.
Starting a new thread is just as easy as making a single post. But that’s not what makes it special.
Tusks actively discourages posting into a vacuum, therefore losing valuable context. This is achieved by making it effortless to continue threading narratives. Each post becomes an update to a bigger story.
This priority shift should make your account a higher quality follow.
So, who is it for?
To be clear, if you don’t post and are not interested in writing, then not you. Otherwise…
• If you post regularly, then you.
• If you blog, then you.
• If you want to write (more), then you.
Also: if you post occasionally, then Tusks could encourage you to post more.

For developers and the curious
The evidence, sources, measurements and versions behind every label above.
No review analysis published for this app.
“Not assessed” means we could not measure it. It is never a zero and never a pass.
No package has been scanned for this app, so nothing is published about what it ships. That is an absence of evidence, not a finding.
Supporting measurements: not a complete list of possible harms or positives. Measurement vocabulary 1.4 · how these are measured
Not yet tested. No analysis has been run for this app, so there is no version or date to report.
Each store’s release notes, as the developer wrote them. They are the developer’s words, not ours.
New * There’s a new Copy context menu action for drafts that copies text for all drafts in the thread to your clipboard. The text copy will be improved in a future update, so that line breaks are preserved. Fixes * Search should work reliably again. * No unnecessary flashing when you add a reply to an existing thread. * Server side updates to a post should be reflected when opening a thread. * Follow button on About screen should always be enabled.
Appworthy
tusks-for-mastodonWhat the stores publish. Store ratings are the stores’ numbers, not Appworthy’s, and are never averaged across stores.
From the store listing. Billing terms are read from each purchase’s name — the stores don’t publish them — so treat them as a strong hint, not a disclosure.
These are really on sale; we just can’t tell from the name whether they recur.
Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.
Write to [email protected], or use the form. Name the finding, the app version and the evidence that needs correcting. Factual corrections are free and never depend on buying anything.
