Definition

Reviewers repeatedly report that the app is not what its advertising showed. We never see the ad creative itself, so nothing we collect can corroborate or refute this — it is published as an attributed user report: what reviewers say, and how many of them said it.

BORING🥱😪😑 — Game is Not fun. too many Adds. Do not play ever. Glitches

1★ · App Store · 2026-10-11

Cute — But there are SO many ads it makes the game unenjoyable. I love the scavenger hunts but an ad pops up every 5 minutes.

2★ · App Store · 2026-10-10

Too many ads — I’ve been playing for a few years and I rarely spend on the app to purchase coins. Until this most recent update I’ve been able to make progress and enjoy the game. The game level I’m at seems impossible to complete without…

Pay to progress

Shown, not confirmed

Fix the app! — I have been playing this game daily for a DECADE and the changes they have made are very frustrating. It is almost impossible to progress without spending money and the design has really become cumbersome. I still play…

2★ · App Store · 2026-10-05

Good, but too high stakes — The game is super fun. The popping is super satisfying, and squares are really cool and creative. The only really bad things are one, there is no variety of ads (lol) and there is one really annoying thing…

4★ · App Store · 2026-09-21

Costs too much — I am on level 4394, so I think it is safe to say that I am pretty adept at this puzzle game. However, it has become impossible to advance without spending “gold coins” from my treasure. Almost the only way to get gold…

1★ · App Store · 2026-09-04

Upgrade prompts use guilt-trip wording

I’m done with this game — Constant Pop Ups for side quest and other nonsense. Pop ups to buy things and won’t stop until you either bug something, or delete the app. I’m done with this.

1★ · App Store · 2026-09-28

Used to be great — Zynga and Take Two have absolutely wrecked this game. I’ve been a loyal user for 6+ years and recently deleted the game for good. Over the past few years the game has steadily increased in difficulty, making some levels…

1★ · App Store · 2026-08-22

the pop ups are driving me crazy — the game itself is fun but the pop ups are unbearable there are so many you can’t just go into the game and start playing you have to skip ten thousand pop ups telling you to buy random stuff in the game…

2★ · App Store · 2026-06-29

Reports that the ads misrepresent the app

Shown, not confirmed

Ads — I love this game. I find it relaxing and I’ve been able to get to high levels without spending any money. I don’t like the fake ads, though. I’ve seen Nordstrom, Clarks, and Quince on the start page of an ad but when you click on…

5★ · App Store · 2026-10-04

AI video ad is wrong-very misleading — Their AI video ad shows you can go diagonally. But as soon as you download the app, it’s one of the first things they say, you CANNOT move diagonally. They can’t even get their own AI videos right

1★ · App Store · 2026-09-12

Not as advertised — The ads that this game sells out are nothing like the provided game the game is more boring then what they show

1★ · App Store · 2026-08-13

A sampled review illustrates one person’s experience. It does not establish a finding on its own.

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

How the automated analysis works

This assessment is produced automatically. Three independent signals are read — user reviews, the store listing and the store privacy disclosure — and each candidate finding is filed under the sources that support it.

No charge stands on one kind of evidence — with one published exception. A finding is either a measured fact that anyone can reproduce (an ad SDK is in the package; every subscription bills weekly; the privacy label omits a tracker we can see), or it is an interpretation — and an interpretation needs independent sources to agree before it reaches the catch list. The exception is a harm only users can see: a charge may publish from reviews alone, as “Reported by N users”, once enough reviewers raise it to clear that charge’s own published bar. That agreement rule is what replaced the human reviewer, not a model’s confidence.

There is no overall score, on purpose. A 0–99 number was published here until 2026-09-15. It was withdrawn because it discriminated too weakly to be the instrument — 44.7% of every pair of apps tied — and because a single number is a verdict where a count is an observation. What publishes instead is a row of measurements, each of which says what was counted and, where we could not look, says that instead.

Findings under One source only are real reports we do not stand behind as findings. They are shown because withholding them entirely would hide a genuine complaint, and labelled because publishing them as charges would be an accusation off a single source.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A hands-on test can confirm or contradict a finding and adds its own measurements; it does not change a measurement row. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
