About this app

Voice Recorder, Voice Memos ® — a powerful voice recorder for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, with Spatial Audio, Apple Intelligence and fully on-device AI. Record in immersive Spatial Audio, get smart titles, categories, tags and summaries, turn speech into text without an internet connection, and keep everything safe in iCloud. Private by design.

SPATIAL AUDIO RECORDING

• Capture immersive Spatial Audio with your iPhone's microphones

• Great for interviews, meetings, concerts and ambience

APPLE INTELLIGENCE

• Smart titles: each recording is named after what was said. Edit any title, or ask for a new one

• Smart Categories: Meeting, Interview, Lecture, Call, Idea, Note and more, with an icon in History and a one-tap filter

• Automatic tags, and suggested tags you add with a tap

• Summaries: the key points of a long recording in seconds

• 100% on-device — nothing is sent to a server…

Optimized for iPhone Duo • Fold. Unfold. Keep recording: start on the cover screen, unfold, and your recording keeps going without a pause. • Your Library, side by side: History and the player together on the large inner screen, just like on iPad. Smarter with Apple Intelligence • Smart Titles: each recording is named from what was said, not just a date. • Smart Categories: Meeting, Interview, Lecture, Call, Idea and more, sorted for you. • Summaries: the key points of a long recording in seconds. • Auto Tag: recordings are transcribed and tagged automatically, on device. Record and edit • Speech to text on device, even offline, for supported languages. • Noise Cancellation for a clearer…

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
