About this app

An ad-free, free-to-use, simple text-to-speech app. Popular with people who want to memorize by listening, read more books, or study languages.

Recommended for:

• People who want to study efficiently

Use the camera or screenshots to recognize text from study books. Repeat playback helps with memorization, and playlists let you listen in order.

• People who want to read more

Listen to books and novels in your spare moments. Import PDFs and web articles to absorb information by ear.

• Language learners

Text is highlighted during playback, so you can read with both your eyes and ears. With AI voices, you can listen with natural, near-native pronunciation.

Main Features

・Text recognition from camera, images, and screenshots

・Playback position highlighting and auto-scroll

・One-tap voice speed changes

・Double-tap to play from a chosen position

・Background playback and remote controls…

App Store

Version 3.9.48 · 2026-10-24
Hello, this is the best time of year. In this update, I fixed an issue where skipping to bookmark positions couldn't take you back to the previous bookmark, and an issue where Plus could stop working during the billing grace period. I also reworked how the Instapaper integration communicates. New - Reworked how the Instapaper integration communicates to make it more secure Fix - Fixed an issue where, when skipping by “Bookmark Position”, pressing the back button repeatedly during playback didn't take you back to the previous bookmark - Fixed an issue where Plus could be treated as the free plan while waiting for your payment method to be confirmed (billing grace period) If you notice…

Method and limits

What this report can and cannot show

What a missing label means

Not yet tested. No analysis has been published for this app, so there is no method to describe for it yet. A missing label is not a clean bill of health: it means nothing has been read, not that nothing is wrong.

Limits of this report

  • A package scan is static. It identifies code and text in one Android build. It does not measure a live ad session, test a deletion request, or count the steps needed to cancel.
  • Reviews keep their sample. A review-only charge shows distinct reviewers, the share and the sample size, and is published only once it clears that label’s published threshold. Calibration labels are machine-drafted and not yet confirmed by a person.
  • Not assessed is a state. It is never a zero and never a pass.
  • A missing label is not a clean bill of health. It means the evidence did not support one, not that the app is problem-free.
Not yet human-reviewed. A human review gives an app hands-on, recorded measurements. None has been run for this app. Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
