We analyzed this app across 3 independent signals and corroborated nothing unfair. That is a signal, not an audit.
This analysis describes version 26.08.50 of the app, analyzed 2026-10-06 . The app may have changed since.
The store currently lists version 26.08.50, updated 2026-09-21.
What the analysis found
One source only — shown, not confirmed 6
A single kind of evidence. We publish these because withholding them would be the bigger distortion, and we do not treat any of them as a finding we stand behind.
What reviewers said
Verbatim excerpts from public store reviews, shown as corroborating user reports. They are not Appworthy audit evidence, and a quotation is not proof of the finding it sits under.
Trial converts to a charge
Scam! — I clicked on free trial for 7 days, and was charged 16 bucks the very next day! I want a refund! This was not what I signed up for!
Acrobat Pro — Scammers! After 7 days of free trial they started to charge $26 every month without any notifications. When I tried to cancel subscription they asked me to pay $90 for the earlier cancellation because my plan is was never…
DO NOT TRY THE FREE TRIAL!!! — I tried the free trial, canceled the same day and the company charged me $14.99 anyway.
Hard to cancel
Predatory App — Will charge people to cancel, a lot of hidden fees, services could be free elsewhere. Terrible app. Would not recommend.
Hard to cancel — Expensive and HARD TO CANCEL
Cannot cancel trial — Adobe is hiding the plan cancellation page. I’ve tried on four different browsers and multiple security and vpn settings
Reports that the ads misrepresent the app
Bait and switch — Search for something to compress a file and then they want to charge you 100 dollars, so if you want to simply compress one file for something look elsewhere!!!
Paywall blocks the basics
Any actual helpful feature is hidden behind a paywall — Calling yourself a PDF “editor” but making me pay money to use the MAIN function of the app (editing a pdf) is crazy work.
Useless unless you intend on paying their Subscription — I just love basic features like creating a PDF & editing a PDF being locked behind a pay wall, and not only a pay wall a monthly Subscription you have to keep paying for 🤦♂️.
Upgrade prompts use guilt-trip wording
They ruined it — It used to be such a good app and software company as a whole, but they ruined it with all the new features they’re trying to release. Also, please stop with the pop up offers to upgrade my subscription. I’m good, go…
Free Trial Broken — Got the app, signed in to convert two pictures to a pdf, got the free trial, and the free trial wont even work. it keeps prompting me to purchase a pro membership or sign up for a free trial again. signed out and back…
Reports of unexpected charges
Predatory App — Will charge people to cancel, a lot of hidden fees, services could be free elsewhere. Terrible app. Would not recommend.
Rip off — I canceled the subscription and I was still charged !
Doesn't work and charged twice!! — What a waste of money. Garbage!! Would not even open a PDF and 'support' was useless. Then come to find out they charged me $29.99 for monthly subscription hours after a FREE trial, AND $69.99 for a…
How the automated analysis works
This assessment is produced automatically. Three independent signals are read — user reviews, the store listing and the store privacy disclosure — and each candidate finding is filed under the sources that support it.
No charge stands on one kind of evidence — with one published exception. A finding is either a measured fact that anyone can reproduce (an ad SDK is in the package; every subscription bills weekly; the privacy label omits a tracker we can see), or it is an interpretation — and an interpretation needs independent sources to agree before it reaches the catch list. The exception is a harm only users can see: a charge may publish from reviews alone, as “Reported by N users”, once enough reviewers raise it to clear that charge’s own published bar. That agreement rule is what replaced the human reviewer, not a model’s confidence.
There is no overall score, on purpose. A 0–99 number was published here until 2026-09-15. It was withdrawn because it discriminated too weakly to be the instrument — 44.7% of every pair of apps tied — and because a single number is a verdict where a count is an observation. What publishes instead is a row of measurements, each of which says what was counted and, where we could not look, says that instead.
Findings under One source only are real reports we do not stand behind as findings. They are shown because withholding them entirely would hide a genuine complaint, and labelled because publishing them as charges would be an accusation off a single source.
Several measurements above say “Not assessed” because no artefact we hold can answer them. A human review is what resolves those — and it can remove a favourable band as easily as add one.
Hands-on inspections are not yet open.
